BREAKING: Denver Post Endorses Cory Gardner

I have the feeling that these days, newspaper endorsements move the needle very little if any at all in terms of actual voter behavior. However, the main reason for this is that they tend to be overwhelmingly rubber stamps for Democrat candidates. When a major metropolitan newspaper in a purple state like Colorado endorses a Republican – and does so with several withering broadsides at the Democrat candidate – it is a news event in and of itself. The Post’s editorial has many positive things to say about Gardner, who has by all accounts acquitted himself exceptionally well in this campaign. But the central complaint the Post has with Mark Uterus is something we’ve mentioned here before – that Udall refuses to run his campaign on anything other than abortion extremism and lies about Rep. The Post’s broadside against Udall on this issue is especially notable given that the Post takes special care to point out that their views agree with Udall’s on the substance:
